Recent security breaches in Facebook, Equifax, Yahoo, Homeland Security and others, have sparked a new awareness of the security issues with technology and the increase use of online media. Major hosting services are now providing stricter security services for the content of your website, especially for sites that have subscribers/members, online payments and store any other sensitive data. There are different types of security offered and recommended. SSL Security protects the data on your website and protects your visitors personal content, such as addresses, credit cards, email addresses etc. Web Security protects your website from being hacked or infiltrated which can include what's referred to as Malware which can effect how your website functions and can also infect the computers of your website visitors. All of my existing customers are now being upgraded with the new security measures offered by GoDaddy. Unfortunately these services are necessary and come at a cost.
